Revamping Golf Carts and Growing Fast
We’re excited to kick off our Tenant Spotlight series with House of Carts LLC, a dynamic new business that’s quickly gaining traction in the world of custom golf cart dealers. We sat down with Trey Hardin, the founder of House of Carts, to learn about how the company got its start, its rapid growth, and why their decision to lease with SVN VERUS Commercial has been a game-changer.
From Garage Startup to Thriving Business
House of Carts is a brand-new business, but it’s already seeing impressive growth. What started as a small side project – refurbishing golf carts in his garage – has quickly grown into a fully-fledged operation. Trey’s hands-on approach to learning the ins and outs of the business played a key role in his success. As Trey explains, “I learned everything about the business the hard way, and it just kind of escalated from there.”
From initially refurbishing a few golf carts, the company quickly grew its inventory and began offering custom builds and brand new models. In fact, one of their standout projects was building a custom golf cart for Texas Christian University’s baseball team. Trey’s ability to adapt and scale has led to the expansion of his team – today, House of Carts employs five dedicated team members and operates out of two locations.
Finding the Perfect Space with SVN VERUS Commercial
As the business grew, Trey realized he needed a space that could accommodate his expanding operations. “I mainly needed warehouse space, but I also wanted a commercial presence with good road frontage,” Trey says. That’s when he turned to SVN VERUS.
Trey found his new building after a search that took about 45 days. While he came across several possibilities, nothing seemed to match the combination of features, location, and price that SVN VERUS offered. Trey’s experience working with Brad Tyndall of SVN VERUS was especially memorable. “Brad made the whole process really easy,” he shared. “He treated me like a person, which made it a lot less intimidating. As a new business owner, that’s exactly what I needed.”
Brad’s extensive leasing experience and personal touch, helped Trey lock in a space that checked all the boxes – a perfect location with great visibility and ample room for growth. Even with the stress of launching a new business, Trey felt confident in his decision because of the support he received.
What’s Next for House of Carts?
Looking ahead, Trey is excited to continue growing House of Carts. The company has big plans for the holiday season, including a Christmas-themed promotion with lights, a holiday tree, and a fun twist on the idea of buying a golf cart for the holidays. “We’re going full swing into Christmas mode in December,” Trey says with excitement. It’s clear that House of Carts is all about creativity, fun, and community engagement – values that will surely fuel their continued success.
Why House of Carts Chose SVN VERUS Commercial
So, what was it that made House of Carts choose SVN VERUS as their leasing partner? According to Trey, it all came down to the combination of the right space and the right people. “The building, the location, and the support from Brad made all the difference,” Trey explains. “Everything just kind of fell into place, and it couldn’t have worked out better for us.”

We’re thrilled to be working with House of Carts and excited to see how their business continues to grow.
